The district is considering placing a Mill Levy Override (MLO) on the 2024 ballot. The recent community survey found that a majority of respondents support the district’s consideration of this MLO. The ballot question would allow the district to receive an additional $3 million each year, and each year thereafter, to provide additional funds directly to support the district’s Strategic Goals & Directions – Growth & Achievement, Safety & Mental Health, Quality Staff, and Readiness & Success.  Based on the survey results, the district is looking to have the MLO focus on attracting and retaining teachers and staff, making safety and security improvements, expanding career pathways through career and technical education opportunities, and improving transportation services by hiring drivers and adding bus routes.

Community input is valued. Three informational meetings occurred in late May and early June. Information was shared regarding the considerations for a Mill Levy Override, including the priorities to be funded and the rationale for why this is being considered now. The narrated summary of the presentation can be found here Discusion comunitaria sobre MLO en Espanol
