Hudson Elementary Receives State Award

Weld Re-3J is proud to congratulate Hudson Elementary School students and staff for being recognized by the State of Colorado! 

On March 7, Governor Polis announced the Governor’s Math Bright Spot Awardees. Hudson Elementary is one of only twelve schools in the state to receive this prestigious award. Third grade teacher, Jena Graham, was asked to give remarks at the live press conference where awardees were announced. 

Hudson Elementary received this award for growth in math achievement on state assessments between 2019 and 2022. Hudson students and staff have demonstrated resilience in the face of unprecedented circumstances and have increased math performance despite challenges. The school will receive an award of $50,000 that can be used to continue their efforts to improve math outcomes.
