  1. Increase understanding of giftedness
  2. Nomination
    1. Nomination by parent, student, teacher or other.
    2. Nomination through grade level screening (i.e. 2nd grade NWEA testing)

  2. Collection of Data
    1. Parent/Teacher/Student Inventories
    2. Performance Data
    3. Intellectual Aptitude
    4. Academic Performance
    5. Other data as needed
 
  1. A committee of three meets to determine eligibility. Committee may include teachers, principal, social worker, psychologist, gifted and talented personnel, parents or other stakeholders.
    1. If a student is not eligible: Parents notified and enrichment activities within the classroom are recommended.
    2. If a student is eligible: Parents are notified and a plan of services is determined.
 
  1. Advanced Learner Plan is developed and reviewed with stakeholders (teachers, parents, student, etc.)
